Scott of the Yard Episode 404

Mistress Sarah's rattling off of the regulations seems to have clipped something at the end.

Scott seems to be a proper English gentleman. As he walks, can you hear the theme music for Rule Brittania! ?

There is never enough Babylon 5 references and Ambassador G'Kar's comment that not everyone is as they seem is most appropriate for this ep. Sydney has posted this individual into the Cairns command for more than as it seems. The piracy of the Yank airship does not normally involve a civilian unless this civilian is w/ some very high level agency like a precursor to MI5 and reporting invariably to a cabinet level person, quite possibly the MOD himself or First Lord. Is Churchill lurking about in this timeline?

Unless Winston stayed in his command (4th Royal Scots Fusiliers) about a month longer than he did in our timeline, he should be. Unless for some reason "The Lads" had a successful go at him for events during his service as Home Minister before The War and his role as Secretary of State for War, and then as Secretary of State for the Colonies, in the Irish Civil War (Black and Tans, Auxillaries, the Free State Treaty) during The War and after.

Winston, after doing a little reading, seemed to be a reluctant Tory. Almost like Reagan saying he never left the Democrat Party but the Democrat Party left him.

Note that we've already had references to the the Burmah OIl Scandal in Season Four. "The Chancellor of the Exchequer is out there, Scully!" :)

Like his father before him, Winnie was always at heart a Liberal. Except when it came to to the question of Union. Then he could out-Tory the Tories one and all.
