The Engine of Modern War

Always runs on petroleum. Which was why, in our timeline, Ploesti had such strategic value. The Axis needed a steady supply of diesel & gas and I'm certain Inspector Scott is inspecting estimates for reserves and the kidnapped professor might know how to extract said reserves w/ greater efficiency. And this suggests Mr Scott is not just civilian law enforcement but operating undercover for some military intelligence unit. My hypothesis that Michaelson is actually part of a broader trans-national fellowship working to keep the Peace within the machinations of each member's military means Scott must be exposed w/out betraying who Michaelson is. Paul, am I warm?

This may well be part of the picture. Stay tuned and much will be revealed in the next few episodes :)
